Mission Statement



The mission of the Bertram Police Department: To safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce the incidence and fear of crime, and to enhance public safety while working with the community to improve their quality of life. Our mandate is to do so with honor and integrity, while conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence.



The Bertram Police Department consist of four (4) full time, two (2) part-time patrol officers, and currently one reserve officer, but always looking for at least five (5) reserve officers.


The Department is responsible for enforcing all federal, state and municipal laws. The Department is also responsible for:

Enforcing animal ordinance
Investigating traffic accidents
Providing law enforcement and dispatch assistance in times of emergency conditions
Responding to calls of suspicious behavior
Assisting business and residence with crime prevention

Vacation Home Check


Request the Bertram Police Department to check your home if leaving it temporarily unoccupied due to vacation, holiday and other specially targeted absences.
